As a successful and respected CG academy, Escape Studios is a proving ground for a new generation of computer graphics stars breaking into film, TV, games and commercials. Escape Studios is not like other schools. We don’t practice theoretical exercises. We skip the history lessons and focus on results. Our courses teach you one discipline, in-depth over a short time period. Through intensive hands-on practical workshops, designed with a single goal in mind – we give our students the skills, experience and confidence (not to mention the demo reel) to help them succeed in the world of computer graphics.

Our Philosophy

After graduating with a degree and MA in Fine Art from the Chelsea Art School in London, Dominic Davenport pursued a career in VFX working for leading studios such as Glassworks, Double Negative and Me Company.

 

Through his own experience, Dominic realized the challenges young artists faced to obtain the technical skills required to work in this industry. The professional-standard computer graphics training he was seeking just didn’t exist. Dominic decided to make a change with his new project, Escape Studios.

His vision for Escape Studios was to fill the gap between what other schools were teaching students and what the industry required from graduates. While our vision is now much broader, our main focus remains to ready computer graphics artists for careers in industry. Dominic pioneers the company to this day with his creative spirit, defining everything we do.

Escape Studios continues to train young artists with the philosophy to represent, advocate and facilitate uncompromising excellence in all aspects of computer graphics.
